Bloom Watch 2013

Click on the image to the right and sign up for this year’s Bloom Watch. You’ll get regular email updates on the progress of the Blooms and then, when we’re sure the time is right, an announcement of Bloom Night itself, which is one night only from 6 p.m. to Midnight.

We have the world’s largest collection of Night Blooming Cereus, Peniocereus greggi, aptly nick-named “The Queen of the Night”. It creates an elusive flower that blooms en masse on only one night each year.

Tucson Premiere of Desert Dreams

Fox Theatre | Sunday | May 19 | 3 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.)
Without narration or people, this unique film will let you experience our desert from the inside out. It showcases 182 species of plants and animals through a kaleidoscope of visuals, music, and natural sounds. The film was a 4-year project by award-winning producer Thomas Wiewandt, a long-time resident of Tucson.

Reptile Ramble
