Sin Agua Garden

"Sin Agua" means "without water" in Spanish. Hence, this garden will feature desert landscaping using only harvested rainwater. Any homeowner will be able to adapt the landscape concepts demonstrated in this garden to their own landscape. This garden will demonstrate how to re-vegetate areas of land with cacti and other native plants that need no extra watering or attention once established. It will serve as a model of the best way to bring the desert around your house back to its original grandeur. Demonstrations will include collection and distribution methods, as well as the types of vegetation suited for limited water use. Native desert trees, cactus and rarely used native vegetation grace the Sin Agua Garden complimented by appropriate hardscape and cooling ramadas.

The Sin Agua Garden has been terraced, and the water drainage from the Education Center parking lot waters plants here.
