Shopping Shopping is a favorite pastime for Park visitors. A variety of unique and beautiful items are offered in two Museum Shops and the Greenhouse. Tohono Chul Park's Museum Shops carry thoughtfully selected merchandise relating to the natural and cultural heritage of the southwestern desert region. Many items are hand-made, one-of-a-kind, traditional and native crafts from arid regions of the southwestern United States, Central and South America. In addition to crafts, the shops carry books, prints, tiles, clothing, gardening items, Southwestern foods, educational materials and many other beautiful things which reflect the wonders of the Sonoran Desert. The shop at the Tohono Chul Park Tea Room specializes in the unique foods of the Sonoran Desert and offers many types of pottery and dishware. In addition, many mementos of your visit such as Tohono Chul Park tiles and t-shirts are available in this shop. The second Museum Shop, located in the Exhibit House, focuses more on the arts and crafts of the cultures of this region and supports the exhibits presented in the Exhibit House. This is the place to find Navajo folk art, Day of the Dead figures, Tohono O'odham baskets and other regional art objects. |
