Private, school group tours are scheduled year-round, and we can customize any tour to meet the specific needs of your group. For example, if your class is in a social studies unit on Arizona history, we can focus on the role of native plants in the lives of the indigenous people of the region. We even offer a summary of Arizona Standards* our programs address! If our current indoor arts and culture exhibits are of special interest to your students or adult group, arrangements can be made to include them as part of your tour.
- Number of tour participants - 5 minimum / 60 maximum
- Number of student chaperons requested - 1 adult per 10 students
- Length of tour - approximately one hour
- Subjects - adaptations, birds, Sonoran Desert ecology, ethnobotany, Riparian Habitat, Saguaro Discovery Trail, xeriscape landscaping, and others by pre-arrangement

We strongly recommend that teachers visit the Park before scheduling a tour and make use of the available pre-visit materials*. These materials introduce new vocabulary words, discuss concepts presented and allow teachers to integrate activities into daily lesson plans.
