Alice Holsclaw Performance Garden

Shaded by a grove of feathery sweet acacia trees (Acacia smallii), this garden also features mealy cup sage, evening primrose, and butterfly bush. This is the location of the Park’s spring and fall concert series, as well as a number of lectures and special events. It is also one of the gardens chosen by brides-to-be for outdoor weddings. The world’s largest Foothills Palo Verde, as recorded in the National Register of Big Trees, grows just south of the western entrance to the Performance Garden. It is a spectacular multi-trunked tree, with profuse, bright yellow blossoms in the spring.
