Teacher Training
With a focus on inquiry-based learning, and in conjunction with the Wildlife Conservation Society (Bronx Zoo), the Park presents teacher workshops facilitate the integration of environmental education and life science concepts into a multi-disciplinary curriculum.
Special Programs for Children
Tohono Chul Park has collaborated with local schools and school districts to provide after-school mentoring for leadership students in the school's Garden Clubs or classroom inquiry activities for multiple grades. We also continue to partner with the Tucson-Pima Libraries, providing enrichment classes for their summer reading program. We can also assist with Scout badge projects or with planning school outdoor learning centers and wildlife habitats
Lectures and More
Throughout the calendar year the Park offers lectures on gardens and gardening, the natural world, and the arts, history and culture of the desert Southwest. You can also participate in workshops, special family days in the Park, and members-only field trips. Our Speakers Bureau slide programs are perfect for clubs and fraternal groups looking for educational speakers ($20 booking fee).
