Tohono Chul Park Goes to the Library!

This summer, the ever popular Desert Home Theatre is visiting neighborhood libraries with These are Our Saguaros, a look at the traditions of the Tohono O’odham saguaro harvest. Young Marco spends a hot summer day with his O’odham grandmother and a giant saguaro named El Capitán. A host of animal friends drop in for a visit, Plume the Quail, Sneaker the Coyote and Midget, the feisty Elf Owl and there is action aplenty. There are paperbag puppets and take-home saguaro boxes to make, too! Performances are free.
